Care tips
Wear longer, wash less
Washing clothes after every use is often more of a habit than a necessity, and in most cases, it's not necessary. In fact, less laundry slows down the color fading and aging of your clothes overall. Many things just need to be aired and ironed to make them suitable for the next wear, and if there are stains, they can be spot-treated. It's not unhygienic and instead puts less strain on your wallet and significantly improves the durability and condition of your jeans and clothes in general.
But if you do decide to freshen up your jeans, hand wash is the way to go.
Iron inside out
Most items don't need to be ironed as long as you wash on the gentle cycle and shake the items gently before hanging them out to dry. If you do need to iron, we recommend steaming instead of ironing, as it is more gentle on fabric fibers. But choose depending on the means available.
It is also better to iron things inside out. In addition to better preserving the fabric fibers, you will protect yourself from the possibility of burns, stains, or dirt.
Turn your clothes inside out
Make sure that the garments do not catch on each other in the washing machine with hardware or other elements. Turn the jeans inside out and fasten the zipper. This will also immediately prepare your jeans for ironing.
Optimize the quantity
It is clear that washing just one pair of jeans is a waste of water and energy. So, unless it's an emergency, wait until you have enough clothes to fill the machine.
Sort by color
Different clothes have different requirements and your laundry basket should be sorted accordingly. At a minimum, you need to sort by color, but we also recommend sorting by type. Depending on the delicacy of the fabric. Jeans should not be washed with delicate fabrics.
Відразу обробляйте плями
If you get a stain on your clothes, treat it right away. Natural materials, such as cotton, tend to be highly absorbent, which means that the longer you wait, the harder it is to remove the stain. If you don't have any stain removers on hand, at least use soap or degreasers that contain chlorine-free products.
Choose lower temperatures
Thanks to modern washing machines and detergents, you no longer need to boil your laundry. The low temperature still gets the job done while putting less stress on your clothes and the environment. If your jeans do need a full wash, only wash them at 30°C. This temperature is also sufficient for most clothes. Check the label for important care instructions, including information on the optimal temperature for your garment.
Dry immediately
Be sure to dry your laundry immediately and do not leave wet clothes in the machine. It will wrinkle and may cause odor and mold over time. If you wash your jeans by hand, they should just drain naturally.
